2008 Make It With Wool Contest

The object of this contest is to promote the beauty and versatility of wool fabric and yarn. To encourage personal creations in sewing, knitting, crocheting, spinning and weaving of wool fabric, yarn and to recognize creative skills.

In January, 2008 at the National Contest in Las Vegas, NV in the Junior Division, Rebecca Rickerton of Lexington finished in the honorable mention; in the Senior Division, Laura Kusek of Albion finished in the honorable mention; and in the Adult Division, Merna Hansen of Hastings finished in the honorable mention.

Again this year, we are promoting the category of "Made for Others" at the district and state levels. The ages are as follows:

  • Preteen, 12 and under
  • Junior, 13-16
  • Senior, 17-24
  • Adult, 25 and over
  • Made for Others

You may enter any district contest. Dates, location and directors are as follows:

  • District II - October 25, 2008 in Holdrege, NE. Cotnact Sandy Erickson, 308-263-4721.

The state contest will be held November 21 & 22 at the Adams County Fairgrounds in Hastings, NE.
